Yellow Owl Workshop

Cute Two Stamp set from Yellow Owl Workshop - love the little satchel!

Okay so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody that rubber stamps are pretty much the most super fun stationery item imaginable. They're cute, come in lovely little boxes, tins and satchels and are about as hands-on as somebody manually challenged like myself can get.

So i got really excited the other day when somebody showed me the Yellow Owl Workshop's site. Working out of San Fransisco, Yellow Owl creates limited edition paper goods, wedding correspondence and items for the home.

I love the ceramics, the letter writing sets and postcard sets but it is their stamps where uniqueness truly meets quality and attention to detail.

My Sydney based spies have told me that Pentimento in Newtown will have these available soon but otherwise, hit their website and see what you can come up with. They also have a Blog to keep up with anything new.

Blog of the Week: Geninne's Art Blog

Wow! What we love about blogging is the way that you can just lose yourself clicking through all the myriad of blogs out there. A suggestion here, a recommendation there, a little tucked away link every now and then and all of a sudden, the time has just flown by!

And whilst not every blog is brilliant, there are some real gems out there. Case in point: Geninne's Art Blog. In a word, beautiful.

Click through and meet Geninne - a freelance artist/illustrator. She has a store on the unceasingly cool Etsy which you should definitely check out here.

Whilst we could look at her art all day long, we also love the content - like this post about hand made rubber stamps. If you feel fully inspired to get rubber stamping (but aren't quite up to making them yourself), you can check out NoteMaker and Inscriber.

As well as the illustrations, the rubber stamps and the beautiful everything, Geninne is also an exponent extraordinaire of Journal Art (see Moleskine Watercolour Sketchbook above) - just something else you should check out!
