Burger Zines via Design Fetish

Why didn't somebody show me this earlier? Design Fetish is my new favourite blog and the work of 25 year old designer, Yasmine, who works in Beirut, Lebanon.

And this is the cutest thing I've seen in ages. Burger zines are little bite sized, hand cut paper and card sandwiches where each page is an ingredient.

They are the offspring of Stephanie Anderson's Original Hamburger Zine and you can see more here.

And the fun doesn't stop there - I also love the LCD Write Your Own Message Card. A limited Edition design from Yellow Owl Workshop, the LCD cards can be bought here in Australia from Upon A Fold and are about as charming as greeting cards get.

Now In Australia: Yellow Owl Workshop!

Look at how cute that muslin baggie is!

Well this is very exciting for all of us stationery fiends, the long neglected and overlooked fans of the well designed, functional and aesthetically amazing stuff we call paper goods.

Original correspondence sets - love the engraved pencil.

Yellow Owl Workshop, a boutique San Francisco group of expert paper goods merchants is now easy to find in Australia! We used to covet their rubber stamps from afar via their official website, but learned yesterday that NoteMaker now has almost the full range ready and flying out the door for all of Australia to enjoy.

Hand painted Acrylic on wood is so cute!

And we're not the only excited party - the Inside Out Blog is on to it as well, digging on the ceramic sculpture range!

They even make Ceramics! This 1970s inspired Polaroid is so cool!

I could go on for a while about how much I love the look of Yellow Owl, but I'll just let the products themselves tell you all about it.

Yellow Owl Workshop

Cute Two Stamp set from Yellow Owl Workshop - love the little satchel!

Okay so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody that rubber stamps are pretty much the most super fun stationery item imaginable. They're cute, come in lovely little boxes, tins and satchels and are about as hands-on as somebody manually challenged like myself can get.

So i got really excited the other day when somebody showed me the Yellow Owl Workshop's site. Working out of San Fransisco, Yellow Owl creates limited edition paper goods, wedding correspondence and items for the home.

I love the ceramics, the letter writing sets and postcard sets but it is their stamps where uniqueness truly meets quality and attention to detail.

My Sydney based spies have told me that Pentimento in Newtown will have these available soon but otherwise, hit their website and see what you can come up with. They also have a Blog to keep up with anything new.
